Portswood Church is a community of people who have come to know God through Jesus Christ. This is an amazing gift and we respond in thankfulness by giving ourselves to God.
With Christ at the centre of our lives we change. We become managers of all that we have, not owners; this includes our money.
Portswood Church is a community of God’s people in which there are needs. It may be for financial support in a crisis, to support our Global Mission Partners, our supported charities, to run our Church Building or for the paid staff that help the community to function, but money is needed to make it work.
As an independent church, we look to God to meet our needs and usually this comes through the gifts of church members and friends.

We sometimes wonder about our calling or purpose in life, what are we here for, what do we want out of life? In his letter to the church in Rome, Paul writes about his own purpose and calling right at the start, he sees himself as a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle and set apart for the gospel of God
