What we do

City Partnerships

City Partnerships
To serve the needs of our city and the people who live and work in it we are involved with and connected to a number of different groups and projects:
  • Love Southampton - an initiative of the churches working together to love our neighbours in the city in practical ways, to communicate efficiently with the city council and to focus on specific areas of need.
  • Southampton City Mission and Basics Bank -  delivering Christian schools work across the City and providing emergency food and clothes to those in need in Southampton.
  • Southampton Street Pastors - engaging with people on the streets to care for them, listen to them and help them, working together with other partners in the night-time economy to make communities safer.
  • Home for good. As the Church responds to our Biblical call to care for the vulnerable, we will see families stepping forward to foster or adopt every child waiting for a home, we will see safe and welcoming churches being a committed supportive community for every family, and we will see every Christian playing their part for vulnerable children.
  • Safe families for Children - Safe Families for Children (Safe Families) works hand-in-hand with children’s services to link families in need with local volunteers who can offer them help and support.
  • Amber Chaplains - Offering a listening ear, emotional support and prayer to women who are vulnerable to sexual exploitation in Southampton.
James. Now to live the life
The book we’re learning from this autumn term is James. Written by James, Jesus’ half-brother, it’s a small letter found in very last pages of the Bible
